ESSPIN

April 2010, Fantsuam Foundation signed a DFID contract to reactivate local community involvements in running of village schools.

ESSPIN stands for Education Sector Support Programme in Nigeria.

“ESSPIN is a partnership between the Nigerian Government and the United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID). The six-year programme (2008 – 2014) supports Federal and State governments – Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara and Lagos initially with Enugu added in 2010 – to develop effective planning, financing and delivery systems that will improve the quality of basic education.”

In Nigeria - “The need is great only around 70% of children of primary school age are receiving a formal education - meaning that seven million of its children are not attending school because of social, cultural and economic circumstances.” (source http://www.mottmac.com/aboutmottmac/)

John Dada has been asked to be Project Director - in Kaduna state.

Dadamac is helping FF's involvement to be more visible.
